Anderhalve maand geleden mijmerde de toenmalige UKIP-voorman nog:
"I care about the future of the country more than I care about the future of UKIP, but if UKIP achieves this great thing, we then have to make sure the Government actually does it. We'll need a strong UKIP to make sure the Government do not break faith with the British people and keeps its promises. Our role post-Brexit is going to be vital."
