For 18 seasons, 3 op Reis has been the leading travel program on Dutch national television. Every Sunday evening, our presenters travel the world in search of stories that move you and make you see the world in a new way.

Our travel reports are daring, adventurous and independent. They inspire you to go beyond the well-traveled paths and well-known places - and they show you that travelers with a sustainable, conscious and open-minded attitude can bring a positive change to this world.

Our presenters represent that open-minded attitude. Chris showed us the off-the-beaten-track islands of Fogo and Santo Antao of Cape Verde. Dzifa took us far and wide to Thailand and Cambodia, and our presentation duo Tim & Niek showed us around Ecuador, from the untouched Chimborazo to the rugged coastline. But foremost, we continue to show how you can make far-away journeys closer to home. Nienke took us through the Peaks of the Balkans in Albania and went sailing across the North Sea to reach the Norfolk Coast Path. Jurre drove us from his hometown Amsterdam to Aalborg in Denmark with a fully electric van.

Nearby or far away; this season 3 op Reis shows you how travel adventures are within reach for everyone, and how together we can make a big impact by traveling more consciously.

We are currently preparing our 19th season, which will air on Dutch television in September 2025.

Let us introduce our current hosts:

    Chris Zegers

Chris is definitely a travel legend on Dutch national television: he started his career presenting various travel shows since 2001. In 2012, he joined 3 op Reis and he has been one of our main presenters ever since. From the silver mines in Bolivia to the jungles in Malaysia, from the Mediterranean coasts of Italy to the heartland of Patagonia: Chris has seen the most beautiful places around the world. But he is always eager to discover new frontiers and meet new people, as those special encounters are what he values most about traveling.

    Nienke de la Rive Box

Nienke has been traveling the world for 3 op Reis since 2016. Where everybody turns left, she turns right: seeing the beauty in overlooked places and finding intriguing stories in unknown destinations.  She dived into the culture of Tanzania, crossed India by train and traveled to the end of the world in Greenland. She explored the diversity of the people of Uzbekistan, went off the beaten track in Italy and made a road trip from Gambia to Senegal. As for Nienke the world is a place of endless stories, her travels will continue!

    Dzifa Kusenuh

Dzifa is the youngest of our presenters and can therefore easily relate to the views and interests of young travelers, who make up a large number of our audience. She has been traveling for 3 op Reis since 2020 and is all about showing an authentic travel experience. Whether she is on a beach in Sao Tomé or crossing the border between Bolivia and Paraguay on a small boat: her enthusiasm is ever contagious. Dzifas trips guarantee spontaneity and adventure. Wherever she goes.
